My life and travels in Belgium and around Europe

The tomb and the side of the church. The thing is ridiculously large.

Dramatic shot of the tomb and the altar. Whose artistic? Not so much me.

The building where Napoleon's tomb is located is also a church and this is the altar.

Statue of Napoleon in the crypt.

Big casket for a litte guy. The tomb as seen from above.

The entrance to Napoleon's tomb. I guess if you conquer most of Europe you, too, can be buried under a huge guilded dome.

What is looks like inside of the dome.

The Geode! This is the IMAX theater in the Cite des Sciences. It was also in my high school text book in French class and Judith was so amused that the Geode was included in a French textbook.

Me and Dadx0r5 at Sacre Coeur. It was windy so please pardon the hair.

The tour started in Bastille and went all the way to la Cite des Sciences. This is the rotonde de la Villette that was once a tax collection place and is now the architecture building. This is right by my house. On the right hand side would be the movie theater that Judith and I frequent.

Swing bridge on the Canal St. Martin.

The lock letting water it. It was quite exciting. I had never gone through a lock before.

One of the locks.

On Thursday Dad and I decided a canal tour would be fun. So much cooler than the run of the mill Seine tour. The canals are were it is at. This would be us leaving the underground portion of the tour and entering the first lock.

Amelie's cafe. Yeah it is blurry. But you get the idea. Best of all I didn't even go looking for it. I just walked past it and realized what it was. I love Paris!

With the Eiffel Tower

Dad and me at the Trocadero. I asked a French guy to take our photo. He negleted to include the giant tower we were standing infront of.

Chris and the Eiffel Tower.

Me, Chris and the Eiffel Tower

Chris came to visit from Italy this weekend. On one of our strolls we went to the Centre Pompidou and this is the fountain next to it with all the weird fountains. Quite fun.

Yeah...that is Javier Solana. I saw him speak. I am such a nerd. But it was so cool!

Naja, me, Ilaria and Kristen at a party Saturday night.

Last night Ilaria, Jo and I went out for Lebaneese food then then to a cafe. It was quite nice.

Ilaria's birthday last week. Starting from the left: Clark, Ilaria, Vadim, Tom, Greek guy whose name I forget, Paul, Naja, Sohpie, Daniel and me.

Picture of the actually park. There was a nice man who thought I was Belgian because of my accent. It was random.

View of Paris from the Parc de Belleville taken last week when I decided a walk was more important than an expose.
