Thanksgiving

I can't not celebrate Thanksgiving even if I am in Belgium. It was a bit of a challenge getting everything today. I freaked out when the poultry man asked if I wanted the turkey alive. Kevin, the best TA ever, didn't object to me saying I was hosting Thanksgiving at his place. Quite frankly, it was awesome. I still can't believe I pulled it off.

IRD Opening Ceremony

On the 15th there was the Opening Ceremony of the IRD department. Very fancy indeed.

Brussels

After the opening ceremony Abdul and I went to Brussels. Partially to get out of Bruges for an afternoon and partially to see a movie.

Opening Cermony

Oct. 30 was the Official opening of the Copernicus promotion of the College of Europe. The Prime Minister of Luxembourg spoke. All in all it was rather boring but at least we got to eat non canteen food afterwards.
