Jolly Good!

Unfortunately British people don't say "jolly good" but they do say "Cheerio!" and I almost got hit by a car because I was so amazed I actually heard someone say "Cheerio!" On Monday I left Bruges for well needed break and went to London to see Laura. Laura who is so nice and let me stay with her FOR FREE in London. What can I say, I have great friends. It was awesome.

At the Tate Modern there is the coolest "art installation" ever: giant slides. I was so excited when I heard about it and they may or may not have been one of the main reasons for me going to London. They didn't disappoint. It is safe to say they were totally awesome!
A 5 story tall slide!!!!!! So awesome!
The millennium bridge.
Laura and I went to Westminster Abbey between her classes on Wednesday which was pretty cool. I felt really weird walking on top of people's burial sites but otherwise it was really cool. Then Laura left me to go to Arabic and I had the afternoon to myself.
Look kids! Big Ben...
Parliament!
The London Eye.
After my scenic walk along the Themes I went to the Tate Britain where I got my Turner on and it was awesome. My favorite painting, Sun Setting Over a Lake, was not on display but there were still quite a few Turners to see which made me very happy.
Thursday Laura had an Arabic test so she walked me to the British museum and she bid me adieu and I spent the morning there until I had to leave and catch the Eurostar back to Belgium. This is the Rosetta Stone. There are lots of really cool old things there but I only felt compelled to take a picture of the Rosetta Stone.

London was great. It was really nice to see Laura and talk to someone from home. It was a nice relaxing trip which is what I needed because finals start tomorrow. Wish me luck!
