AMERICA!
I had a lovely two weeks at home in Maryland with a trip to Philly and Pgh with Chris. It was super nice seeing my family and eating burritos (including one of the breakfast variety). I got to see (almost) everyone I wanted to and it was really nice sitting and not doing anything. I caught up on my trash American TV and enjoyed the plethora of junk food America has to offer.
Chris came to Maryland for one night then it was off to Philadelphia for New Years and a really nice visit with Liz and Michael. I had been to Philly once before but never got to do the touristy things. This time around I made sure to see the Liberty Bell. No one was particularly enthused about going to see this great monument of American history but Chris was kind enough to accompany me.

However, once arriving at the location of the Liberty Bell we discovered it was closed. Fortunately you can still see it from outside but not the crack! So this a slightly blurry crack-less Liberty Bell. But any Liberty Bell is better than no Liberty Bell!

Christmas-y Philadelphia with a view of the famous LOVE sign and the Art Institute in the background.
