London: A celebration of visas and Julie Andrews
So last weekend I went to visit my friend Laura who lives in London. It had been about 18 months since we'd seen each other (and that was at a Pamela's in the Strip, for shame!). While I was super excited to see Laura, the impetus for the visit was a Julie Andrews concert (which I may or may not have bought tickets for back in November). Laura had also recently had her UK visa renewed for three years so there was a party to celebrate on Friday. Otherwisem I did some shopping, met with some old friends and had a really nice time.
An arena full of Julie Andrews fans (quite the diverse crowd)
A close up, well as close as you can get when your seats are reeeeeally far away.
That gold spec would be Julie Andrews. I believe this was taken during the phenomenal crowd sing along of "Do Re Mi." Be jealous!
On Sunday I had brunch with some friends and took a few pictures of the area around Laura's apartment.
A mural next to a church. I was rather amused by Hitler in his undies.
Recreated tobacco boats on a canal (didn't really know London had canals).
Canal!
